From the Artist :
" I continue to work with horses from a lifetime of fox hunting, racing, polo, Pony Club, eventing, driving, showing, back country endurance and trail riding. I also work with retrievers, hounds, field trial dogs, working terriers and beloved pets.
At this time I continue to explore the sensation that light stimulates in the organs of sight. To paint and capture light is to never be bored. Light creates not only form, but life beyond form. Horses continue to be favorite light conductors from my palette. I have begun to see horses as canvas itself."
As of 2007 , I have become a full-time , professional digital photographer, a masthead shooter for Horse Connection Magazine and contributer to Sidelines Magazines; featured in Rolling Stone, Aspen and Peak Magazines among others. I love to capture what is alive and moving ! I have a great love of shooting the raw athleticism of rodeo and covered the Professional Bull Riders Finals in Las Vegas as well as the last three FEI World Cups, both for the Horse Connection Magazine. I have covered The Rolex **** in Kentucky and was an official photographer at the 2006 Winter Equestrian Festival and ongoing Cheyenne Frontier Days. Rosespur and other polo shoots will be up on this site.
2008 brought a top award from the Equine Ideal spring photo contest, a Dover catalog cover, and images prominent in USEF Equestrian Magazine, USDF Equestrian Magazine, Rodeo News, The Morning Line, Gulfstream Polo Magazine, The Chronicle of the Horse, Horse Connection and many more. My picture of Marcello Cruz was chosen for the 2008 Snowmass Rodeo poster and program cover. It was a great moment out of the chute !
2009 kept me home in Old Snowmass , Colorado dealing with health issues, but continuing to ride and train indoors and out and shooting commissioned portraits as well as illustrating a childrens' book full of animals and once again the 2009 FEI World Cup in Las Vegas.
2010: My treatment , a year of hell has ended with success ! I have not felt so good in years.
I was able to attend The World Equestrian Games in Kentucky for the entire two weeks last fall and shoot from dawn till dusk;a most memorable trip of a life time !
2011: Back in Colorado after a very productive and horsey winter in Aiken, South Carolina. Looking forward to having this site active and up and running as I build it.
